Data collection participants (workers): When individuals participate in Sano AI data collection sessions at commercial facilities, we collect video footage of their body movements and task execution. We do not collect names, faces (which are blurred before any data leaves the facility), voice recordings, employee identification numbers, or any other personal identifying information. Participation is voluntary and requires individual written consent prior to any collection session.

3. Data Collection Session Privacy

Sano AI operates under a strict privacy framework for all data collection sessions conducted at commercial facilities:

Written consent: Every participating worker signs an individual consent form before any camera is activated. Participation is entirely voluntary with no employment consequences for declining.
No audio recording: Audio is disabled on all collection devices by default. We collect video only.
Face blurring: Automated face blurring is applied to all footage before it leaves the collection facility. Workers are not identifiable in any delivered dataset.
No performance data: Collected footage is never shared with facility management or used for worker performance evaluation.
No biometric extraction: We do not extract facial geometry, voiceprints, or other biometric identifiers from collected footage. Video is treated as operational task footage, not biometric data.
Data retention: Raw footage is deleted within 90 days of annotation completion. Anonymized annotated datasets do not contain personally identifiable information.

4. Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA)

For data collection activities conducted in Illinois, Sano AI complies fully with BIPA requirements, including written notice before collection, written consent, public retention schedules, and prohibition on sale of biometric identifiers. Face blurring is applied before any footage leaves an Illinois facility.

5. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion of their personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of their personal information. 6. Third-Party Service Providers

We use Formspree to process contact form submissions. Formspree may store submitted form data on our behalf in accordance with their own privacy policy. We do not share your data with any other third-party services without your explicit consent.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Raw footage collected in the field is transferred immediately to encrypted storage and backed up. Access is limited to Sano AI personnel with a legitimate need.

8. Data Retention

Contact form submissions: Retained for up to 24 months or until the inquiry is resolved, whichever is sooner.
Raw collection footage: Deleted within 90 days of annotation completion.
Anonymized annotated datasets: Retained as long as required to fulfill customer agreements. Deletion timelines are specified in individual data license agreements.
Website analytics: Aggregate data retained for up to 24 months.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Site and services are directed at business professionals and are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us immediately at hello@trysano.co.
